So it's been quite long since I last wrote. We have been super busy. I assumed that when Jesse was out for the summer and no longer subbing, things would slow down. No such luck. We are just running a mile a minute.
Since I last wrote, Toby had his tubes put in and his 1 month recheck and all is well on the ear front. We have found though, that each time Toby gets a cough- he wheezes. The doctors/specialist thinks he has laryngomelacia- which causes him to wheeze when he gets a cough. We could do some expense tests to diagnose it for certain, to be told he will out grow it. So we are watching it.
Jesse Jay is talking more and more. We went to the store and had him in the care with his Aunt Kimmy. When I left, he said "Mom! Come back here!!" He likes to tell us, "I'll be right back. Just a second." Now I am no speech therapist, but he is repeating words. Whole words. He says, " I want, I want, I want go bye-bye soon." We are going to talk to his pediatrician about it but I assume it's NOT a stutter since he says the whole thing. And he says it the correct way if we remind him a few times.
Jesse (Sr) has all his applications in at the nearby school districts. He has yet to hear back. We are praying something works out for him this year. He is staying busy with the garden, kids, and chores/shopping it takes to keep this family running. Also he goes fishing once and awhile. He went up to Cascade with a friend and took Jesse Jay with him. They got one fish and a little too much sun. But had a great time.
We had a fantastic time in Washington. We got to go to Seattle. Jesse Jay and Toby got to play with their cousin Ward and spend lots of time with gramma and grandpa. Jesse (Sr) and I got some great alone time. We rented this gorgeous B&B with some friends and we all got some needed rest and relaxation. I enjoyed my time off work immensely. It was nice to be a mom for almost 2 weeks straight. We also got to go camping at Scenic Beach. It rained a bit, but it was fun. Smores galore is all it took for me.
I have 4 days off coming soon. We want to go camping, but where? We are looking into it. But suggestions would be appreciated.
