We also had the chance to go to the Idaho Shakespeare Festival for (free!) a provider's social that Saltzer put on for us, which was AWESOME! They sure do know how to throw a party, and it was a wonderful date night for us as Melinda was nice enough to babysit the boys. They love her so much and so do we.
The boys have been up to a lot as well. Toby had shots at his two month appointment, spiked a low grade fever, fell out of bed... but is doing just fine. This is to remember his first "battle scars" or shots. He was a trooper. He is such a giggly and happy boy most of the time. If only he would sleep through the night. But as our neighbor reminded us, he IS only 2 months old.
Then there is this little clown who loves to wear mommy's gardening boots any chance he gets. He is just a riot. More so these days. But his favorite words are becoming "no, no, no" and "let GO!" We need to work on more positive and uplifting words, I think.
Then this weekend my parents came into town to drop off Aunt Kimmie (or At Meemee-if you're Jesse Jay) for the month. Apparently Jesse Jay took to her immediately and ignored everybody else. We had a BBQ with them here and Melinda and her mom, and my cousins and their kids. It was a lot of fun. Jesse Jay got to play with his new pool and loved every minute of it.
We had great food. Jesse made steaks for us and hot dogs for the kiddos. We had all kinds of picnic salads and watermelon. I ate too much. It was good. Like, I am dreaming of leftovers good.
Toby stayed under the umbrella with Aunt Kim part of the time and loved playing with her hair.... Jesse Jay loved his pool and new swim trunks grandma brought him. He also likes to wear his gardening boots and put them in the pool. He loves the sloshing feeling after he gets out.
Toby and grandma spent some time under the Willow Tree near the garden. Tank was ever so attentive and loved licking Toby's feet.
Jesse Jay-the big boy, sitting is his very own lawn chair (and getting it soaked with his wet tushy!) Dorey really liked the pool and pool toys too.
This was during the BBQ portion. Melinda, Jesse Jay, and Aunt Kimmy hung out under the umbrella picnic style. Jesse Jay walked around with a fork, and kept stabbing Melinda's steak without asking. She was kind enough to give him a couple bites when he asked please.
Hope you all had a Happy 4th of July. We sure did! We didn't do any fireworks as the kiddo's were asleep so early. We watched our law-breaking neighbors put on a fireworks show from our window that was rather impressive and me and the husband enjoyed some time snuggling and watching movies.
For now, I need to go work out before I head into work. It isn't too bad, especially considering today is the paid holiday.
