Halloween 2010- Thing 1 & Thing 2

We had a wonderful Halloween. We got to carve pumpkins Aunt Sarah's house and then went to some houses to go trick-o-treating. Jesse Jay still can't say it. He just stares at you blankly until you give him candy. Right now he is going through his loot. Every once in awhile the doorbell rings with the neighborhood rug ruts asking for candy- and he loves giving out candy. Unless you have a scary mask and then he backs up against a wall and refuses to give you candy. He likes giving out candy so much he even started going into his bucket to give kids candy. I love my little man's heart.

For Halloween dinner I have been really wanting to make Chicken Tortilla Soup. It turned out delicious. I used a bunch of people's recipes. Took what I wanted and common themes in all recipes that were blaring necessity's. Melinda wanted seconds, she liked it so much. And it looks almost as good as it actually tasted.

And this is a picture of my guys. Thing 1, Thing 2 and Cat in the Hat. Aren't they just super adorable. A big thank you to my sister-in-law Sarah, who helped make the hats (hair), gloves and shoes. They looked amazing!

Now if you can tell from Jesse Jay's mischevious grin, you're supposed to act the part of Thing 1. The moment his costume was on, he took to doing the very opposite of whatever mommy or daddy said. Such a toddler....

We hope you and yours had a Happy Halloween. We are getting these kiddo's relaxed and ready for bed soon. Then the adults are going to watch Rocky Horror- which we do every Halloween! :)
