Toby's First Attempt At Food

The night of Jesse Jay's party we decided to try Toby on rice cereal. You can see below some of the photo "ops" from the event. Oh my look at this intent face on the spoon. I personally love the rice cereal mustache in this one.

He is convinced that leaning backwards is somehow helping him figure out the tongue part. Mom is convinced that monkey-see, monkey-do.. if I open my mouth real wide, maybe he will too? Didn't work. He ended up spitting most of it up, but kept coming back for more.

After each bite he made this pained look of disgust. Real food is apparently some weird stuff!

We were hoping maybe once he started getting some rice cereal and more food on his tummy he might start sleeping better. Nope. We are starting this Sleep Sense program. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. He seems to be growing through a growth spurt right now and is extra drooly. But now is starting to take a pacifier on occasion (here is hoping we break him of the thumb).
